Brake pads OEM Subaru or WAGNER
My energy cost per mile is 1/5 to 1/7 of my ICE vehicle. My maintenance costs are 1/2 or less than my iCE vehicle.
I just checked my maintenance notes and for my car I bought brake pads for $18.98 for the front set. They were Wagner OEX closeout and they are still going fine at 30,000 miles.
I use my brakes sparingly when I drive and rely heavily on engine breaking in my Subaru BRZ.
TS gang here. Cost difference for the brakes was worth it.
Wagner severe duty pads also have treated me well.
the rear brakes did go bad at 35,000 but Subaru said that was an issue with defective brake pads from the factory and they paid for the replacements and they have been fine ever since.
I think the brake pedal has a good feel, but I absolutely have had an "oh shit" moment when I was cruising at 70mph and had to brake for traffic. They definitely underperform for a "sporty" car. But I wouldn't say they suck or dangerous
The stock brake pads leave much to be desired.
Only gripes I have about the VB are the shitty brakes.
Factory brakes in my 2021 we’re pretty low quality, lasted about 3 years.
