Brake pads OEM Volvo or OEM BMW
Genuine BMW pads and discs only. Driven 200k miles in my beamers. Even the e46 gets genuine BMW factory brakes. My 640i got new genuine discs and pads about a year or 2 ago. (£550 in parts, £80 labour).
Had my pads changed (Volvo service centre) at 30k ish miles, at the main dealer and the discs were fine.
What bloody manufacturer is this? For my Volvo XC60 it’s around £330 for front discs and pads main dealer
The pads on my 2019 Alltrack are wearing nicely as there is plenty of life left at 52,500 miles.
I can't say much towards your brakes since I have a G30. However, I was quoted $1850 for my front M Sport brakes. I ended up doing it myself for $900 in parts only. It's not very complicated.
I got quoted well over a grand to do all 4 brake pads at the dealer. I went to a local garage and they did it for half
I recently had the brakes done on my 2016 XC 60 by my long-term mechanic. It was all four corners with pads and rotors. He charged $1300 Canadian (950 USD).
My F82 never has engine cooling issues. The DCT needs a 1qt overfill or a better pan once you pick up pace on sticky tires. Unless you're boosting to the moon, you won't have engine cooling issues though. Brakes are the weakest bit. The stockers feel good, but you really need to cool them.
It’s almost as if spirited driving causes wear.
Meanwhile, my basic 330i standard rear brakes were apparently almost 500 bucks to replace…holy cow I don’t think I actually make bmw money anymore hahaha
