I always use Textar - a boggo (albeit OE) brand, and never, ever have a problem.
Pros: reliable, no problems
i went with R1 concept as well as brakes pads. Night and day difference.

I just daily my 17 GTI. The stock pads and rotors finally gave up at 103k miles. I was perfectly happy with the oem brakes, but not spending $700. I went Zimmerman and Texstar pads. So far no complaints, they feel like the stock brakes when they were new.

I ran R1 concepts for my tc2 for over four years. An improvement over stock’s brake fading prone design. Not badly priced too

I got genuine discs from ML performance for much much less than dealer prices, coupled with textar pads made to the same spec as M4 pads (M4 pads are also a drop in upgrade, I believe textar is OE for M4 pads), noticed minimal difference in performance though.

I slapped in some r1 concepts pads and rotors on both of my Subarus after the oem ones kept warping.

R1 Concepts Track Pads. I used them for my daily and occasional track. I am too lazy to swap the pads. Hella dusty tho.

just waring yall about this company.. they dont care about product quality and safety.. had an issue with my setup only 1 month outta warrty and they said pound sand .. they dont care .. brake pads are made in china and rotors now too.. the pads will fail you big time even if you have a daily driver... never again will i buy a product from them
