Brake pads Textar or WAGNER
Last year on my 2013 I put on Wagner QS pads and Centric rotors, so far so good.
Our shop we use Zimmerman coated rotors and Textar pads. Napa Euro ADO R90 are also really good for commuter cars.
Textar is a renowned brand for brake pads. I like em. Although weirdly, I find their aftermarket pads to be better than the pads they supply to OEs like BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche.
My favorite is Wagner OEX pads. They're build on galvanized steel and the friction material is mechanically attached instead of glued on.
What brake pad does work but they dust a lot seems to be Textar. Not many comebacks except that the clients complain that they are dirty.
Wagner OEX or Bosch Quietcast
Both are ceramic brake pads that will last longer. Brake fade is experienced in all brakes used excessively but it takes a lot longer in ceramic pads. The only draw back is stopping distance is slightly increase when cold but when warm it's decreased. Bonus is they produce less dust & its very light in color so your wheels look cleaner.
The best pads out there right now are the Wagner OEX pads cuz they're built on a galvanized steel backing plate with a mechanical fastening system for the friction material instead of glue. They don't rust out like plain steel pads
Keep it stock. VW went to lotsa trouble to pick out the pads for your car. FWIW I still uses OEM Textar pads on my E46 M3 vert.
I have good experience with Textar pads, both epad and normal ones. Currently I have ATE rotors, but they had to be resurfaced because of warping, so no recommendation from me
so much dust with textar pads on Zimmerman rotors. 3 weeks later my alloys are black.
