Cabin filter OEM Honda or K&N
we have one. i just washed it. i use the dawn powerwash spray. first, tap against a hard object like the wall, to get out the big stuff, then spray, rinse. comes out nice and white/clean. then i hit it with my ryobi blower to push out all the excess water, and put it back. you might notice a slight increase in airflow thru the vents. i have been using the k&n cabin filters on several cars, they work well
So every car I get an in cabin K&N filter which is washable lifetime guaranteed as well as either a drop in intake filter or one for whatever aftermarket intake I go with. It will pay for itself in like two washes plus better gas mileage.
K&N washable cabin air filter $45 Had this one for like 6 years I believe. Just wash it, dry it and reinstall….again and again and again…
Just swapped mine with a reusable K&N because I travel for work so much and it looked like this very quickly ????
I'm thinking of picking up a K&N washable cabin filter, actually 2 one to use right away and the other to use for backup, when the 1st one get super dirty...
i finally got around to doing the cabin filter in my old beater accord... i seriously doubt it was ever changed after it rolled off the line 22 years ago. it was basically black, and it wasnt a charcoal filter lol. a bunch of ripped insulation on top, so one of the previous 13 owners had some mice in their garage. it made a total night and day difference in airflow and temperature, i think the fan dial has 8 stops and the 2nd one feels like what it was on max before. cranking it now feels like a wind tunnel in comparison, and the ac gets way colder now.
I really like my K&N reusable cabin filter. It's made very heavy duty.
If you’re going to stock up on cabin filters for the future, get them at Honda dealership parts department. Those filters will fit better then most aftermarket filters
Lmao I just did my fiancés today. Wasn’t this bad but I was like, how the fuck have you been breathing?
I have one. I clean it when it starts to smell. I just use simple green to clean it. Now, does it let more particles in that I breathe in? Probably, but no worse than breathing in the air outside. The worst cabin filter I used was the Bosch HEPA. Too restrictive and as soon as 12,000 miles hit, it was clogged and I was miserable for a few days in the summer heat
