Control arm MOOG or MEYLE
I went with MOOG for the lower control arms on my E46. Seemed like really decent quality. I want to say they were made in Turkey, and half the price of Genuine.
I used Meyle control arms on my B5 A4 and had no issues after replacement.
I have meyle hd’s with solid treehouse fcab’s for about 2 years ~20,000 miles on my m3 and have had no issues. Rides very smooth
I’ve had meyle hd front control arms for a few years now and they’ve been fine but my e36 is just a summer daily so I don’t push it very hard.
Meyle HD lower control arms are better and longer lasting than OEM. They won't crack arms like the poly bushes.
But you have to make a differential between Meyle standard and Meyle HD, it's night and day difference in quality, all HD parts have a 4 year guarantee, I think the regular have 1 year. I have a few years of experience when it comes to quality of control arms
I bought Meyle HD lower control arms, they seem to be ok quality wise. Clean welds, thick paint so should resist corrosion pretty well. They come with reinforced ball joints and both bushings in place.
meyle is garbage.
I put Meyle HD lower arms on my Z3 two years ago, and this week I've noticed a slight clunking from the front. I've done around 6k in the last two years so perhaps the quality is deteriorating.
Last year I ordered Moog upper and lower control arms for my truck and I was extremely disappointed. One control arm came with zerk fittings, the other three did not and I had to tap threads for them. Called Moog and was on the phone with them for hours as they told me it wasn't their fault and that the distributor I bought them from are to blame.
