I use Amsoil SS mainly because I do long drains, over 20k Km. So the price of the oil is not a big issue.
Great oil but worth it only if you do long drains.
I literally just changed my oil today, I love it, I have been using AMSOIL directly for years now with free shipping and free membership if you spend 500 a year or more if I recall correctly.
I run motorcraft in my mustang and have zero complaints.
I use AMSOIL signature series 0W-30 but the Mobil-1 suggested by others is totally fine — AMSOIL is awesome but is expensive.
I ran Amsoil in my 2002 7.3 for years and it worked well for me.
Valvoline is ok, but that specific oil does not have the rating required for your vehicle. AMSOIL has by far better additives to clean/restore the engine. If you are currently using AMSOIL, then continue using it.
I use Amsoil, all 3 holes.
The Engine oil is proven, the claim about the gearbox oil helping to find neutral easier was true for me, and the primary fluid does just that.
I have amsoil 20/50 in the crank, amsoil primary, and amsoil tranny. It’s the bees knees
Any synthetic - I like the Amsoil.
After not being very impressed with Amsoil 5W-30 after a 5,000 mile oil analysis, I'm going to see how this stuff looks after 5K.
