Engine oil Castrol or OEM Toyota
Always used Castrol in my cars when I\u2019ve had the choice and never had a problem.
On my previous car, a VW Golf 7 2.0 TDI I used to change the oil (Castrol 5W30 Long Life) every 12000km.
Had an 02 explorer with the 4.0 that had 286,000 and still running like a champ when I sold it. It was on its second transmission and everything in the vehicle was falling apart but that motor never once had an issue. Regular maintenance and oil changes every 10 to 15k using Castrol GTX fully synthetic
Perhaps using a lower weight, full synthetic engine oil would build pressure faster and reduce the noise.
I put some Castrol 0w20, no issues.
Castrol mangnetec gave me good performance but in city conditions it gave inconsistent fuel economies for me and under normal cruising speed 80-90 it performed really good. But for me it felt like reaching higher speeds above 100 felt slower compared to shell. Initial pick up of my car felt higher with this oil.
My 2000 Toyota is approaching 300k and runs beautifully. The car before that had 170k before it got totaled.
I have a 2012 civic with 220k miles still use Castrol 0w-20. I've been using it since 500 miles switched to the high mileage stuff around 100k
I check the oil a couple times a month, mostly because it's leaking oil a bit and needs a top-off every thousand miles or so.
cu cat l am folosit mai mult am ajuns la concluzia ca castrol e un gunoi, cel putin pt motorul meu si am trecut la uleiul original ca sa nu le mai incerc pe toate
