I’ve used nothing but Pennzoil Platinum since the free oil changes ran out, 150k or so now, and never had a problem.
I prefer ultra platinum over mobil 1 since ultra is used with a group 3+ base oil, which has better heat handling than regular group 3 oil.
I use pennzoil ultra platinum 0w-20 and a purolator BOSS filter
Preferred Castrol edge 0w-20 during the warranty period and 5w-30 after the warranty period. The engine is quieter with 5w-30.
The ss will have Castrol that they use for big bikes it’s better than prolube and Motul 7100 in my experience.
I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30.
I just use Castrol magnatec 10w40 here in the Netherlands in my m20.
The closest I found was Castrol? Long life 507 which was £40 for 5L from Amazon, but I had to buy the stuff direct from VW as was pushed for time for my oil change (with a friend).
I tried using valvoline, that burned noticeably faster. But castrol high mileage has been pretty good.
Pennzoil is fine, definitely not the best though (my 9th Gen si burned a lot using it) if you can get Mobil 1 or Castrol l I’d go for them instead and use an oem filter.
