Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or AMSOIL
I switched over to Amsoil and I the engine runs much better.
I used Shell Rotella T6 initially on my 2006 BRM...but have switched to Liqui Moly Toptec 4100 and find the motor runs smoother on LM over the Shell.
I take my own oil to my mechanics shop. I use Amsoil Signature in my Challenger.
I use it on my 22 street Bob. My mechanic swears amsoil will make it run cooler but idk. I’m going to try the amsoil when my 10k comes up soon. I’ll always run synthetic either way.
I have personal experience with using amsoil in a Cadillac Northstar which are notorious for burning. It did stop that in that car
1.3 million on Amsoil. Shell is a close second.
On my 2016 GTI with 211K on it, the only oil used was Liquimoly. From 0 miles to 200K miles it burned a quart every 3500 miles and that never changed at all.
Amsoil is worth it and head and shoulders above the competition. I used a custom built testing apparatus to characterize dozens of lubricants including oils of all weights from Mobil 1, Castrol, penzoil, valvoline, and Amsoil.
Ive been using Liqui Moly for my E90s for the last few years now. Nothing but good results from my analysis reports.
I use Liqui-Moly Spec Tec 5w-30 in my ‘99 328i with 330k km on the clock, runs like a top
