Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or Castrol
I've been using liqui moly for a while now and its been great.
Had it on all my bikes great oil. Cheaper alternative will be Castrol power one ultimate.
As to which one, the two that are reported to induce the *least* consumption are Liqui Moly Leichtlauf, and Fuchs Titan Super Syn.
Liquid Molly 5W-40 is what I use in mine.
I run liquimoly and it has been great in every vehicle I've put it in. I run WIX XP filters. All my engines run beautifully. My ram 1500 tows frequent and gets ran harder than most.
Castrol if you just wanna drive it.
I just buy oil with the certs for my car. VW certs are prominently labeled on oils approved by them. I usually use Castrol or Mobil 1.
I’m definitely going to keep running Castrol Edge 0W-30 Synthetic European Formula. 10/10. It’s on the thicker 0W-30 side of things, so it really is somewhat of a 0W-35, it hits the spot when it comes to engine lubrication and protection when the engine is either cold or warmed up.
have used Castrol 5w-40 as VW calls for and change at 5000 mile intervals. Now at 129K, it still uses one or two quarts between changes and performs as well or better than new.
