I’ve been using top tech 4200 for years in my CKRA passat and swear by it. No issues at all currently at 175k miles
Used to go with Mobil 1 ESP for my Passat, but after discovering idParts.com, I now only run Liqui Moly as it was cheaper for me to buy an oil change kit on their website than it was to run to my auto parts store

I only use liqui moly toptec 4200 in my 12 Jetta tdi
The 5w30 or 0w30 is perfectly fine. Since I live in the US Midwest I’m going to start just running 0w30 liqui moly year round
I use liqui moly Toptec 4100 because in India, spec for 2.0 TDI is 5W40 and we do not have DPF so VW505 oil is recommended which Toptec 4100 conforms to .
Decided it would be a good idea to change oil to Liqui Moly since the car is trying to be kept going for another 10 or more years . Main dealer was their standard 0W-30 , but i am going to 5W-30 top tech 4200 . Cars manual said its fine spec and originally had 5W-30 day one .
R60, I use liqui moly 5w-40. 0w-40 is good too. Flows better at start up. Same viscosity at operating temp.
My mechanic (Gigamot - MINI specialists) here in Germany recommended and swears by 5W40 for my R56s.
I have been using it for 3 years on all 5 MINIs.
No issues, summer or winter.
LiquiMoly is a line of many products, some are API/ILSAC oils for American and Japanese cars, some are ACEA/Euro oil spec oils. In general they are decent products if you are buying the top end of their line.
