Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or OEM Audi
Time to change the oil, anyway, at 3,867 mi. I do 5-6k on the regular, but would use this as an opportunity to change.
I still use the VW spec Liqui Moly I used before the delete. Sure it's not as needed for the DPF, but low ashing is still better for the turbo, and it's still a high quality oil i know will be good at least through the 10k recommended interval.
N20s are trash, but regarding the oil opinion: I have a client with over 250k miles on his original N20. I've been the only shop servicing it since 20k. 0W20 Liqui Moly every time. Still on the original turbo, chain guides, oil pump, everything.
I like the mobil 1 esp because I can find it at Walmart for less than $30 for 5 qt. I also run the liquimoly 505 5w40 oil and it holds up really well but costs a lot more.
I ended up buying Liqui Moly on sale recently so that helped.
Mk7 Golf R with an APR stage 1 tune. I do 10k intervals using LM Top Tech 4200. I add a qt between changes.
Liqui moli Lichetlauf 5W40 - Burns much less than others.
I used the Liqui Moly 5w40. Since I've gotten that oil, I\u2019ve noticed the car is much smoother.
So recently I’ve noticed that on startup I get a little white smoke that dies down after warming up to about 170 oil temp I noticed this after I changed the oil I used the same green liquimoly oil my gti has been stage 2 tuned for abt 5k miles now, stock is20 and it’s a mk7 tuned it at 100k miles I’m thinking pcv. my peak boost has gone down one psi and I remember it used to hold 28.5 right before I up shifted now it’s only 26.5
2015 Audi A3, new to me a year ago. One quart every 400 miles. First car I've ever owned that consumed this much oil. It's a nightmare!
