Engine oil Mobil or Motorex
I use Mobil-1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-30. It meets API SP (and SN Plus of course) and is available at Walmart pretty much everywhere for *cheap*.
I personally use mobile1 with a Lucas oil stabilizer. Oil still looks pretty clean when I change it.
I use Mobil1 full synthetic 0w-20 advance fuel economy oil. As long as you get oil that meets the manufactures's spec, you will be fine.
I recommend using Mobil1 engine oil. It contains additives that extend your engine life. I’ve done a teardown of a Skyactiv engine that used Mobil1 and one that used Pennzoil. The Mobil1 engine looked a lot better than the Pennzoil one. I use it in my parents’ CX-9, no problems at all.
I own a 2019 N and have used mobile 1 synthetic 0W-30, subs i bought it. this will be my 5th oil change as i change mine every 8000 miles. So far no problems.
I used mobile 1 for the rav 4. Factory fill on the evo was mobile 1
i used the original oil (0w20) but here in mexico is a little expensive. change the oil to mobil 10w30 full synthetic and works great on my fit 2010.
In all seriousness, Mobil 1 5w-30. Ran it for 70k in my '14 and so far 54k in my '18; zero problems.
Mobil 1 extended performance 5w30
My 1.8T has just over 103k miles. I got it at 78k, and until about the 95k mile mark, I've been using M1 0W-40, then switched to M1 5w-40 Truck and Turbo-diesel, since I wanted peace of mind with its extra additives and protection. I figured since this oil is meant for high operating temps and high load in turbo-diesel engines, it would be just as good in my daily-driven and weekend-tracked 1.8T. I change my oil a few days before going to beat on it over the weekend, otherwise I'll change it every 3k to 5k miles. Also, I have had some valve noise (tapping of some sort), the whole time I've had the car. I'm guessing it's lifter noise. I'm not sure, but I was told to try a heavier weight to counteract it, hence the switch to the only decent 5W-40 sold on base. Still no difference in noise.
