Engine oil Mobil or Motorex
I'm at 50k using M1 0W-40 at around a 8k oil change interval. Did the first change at 5k. Ran it up to 10k for the last change. Not burning a drop of oil. That is like a miracle for a VAG engine.
Mostly Mobil 1. I have been looking into other oils for my Z06 though.
For Nissan I see people tend to prefer Mobil 1 Full synthetic. I don't know what other oil my Sentra was using before but the car runs better on Mobil 1 for me.
ever since 15,000 miles I’ve been using Mobil1 0w40 and Mobil1 oil filter every 5k miles. I’ve used it on both hot 80-100f summer temps and now on winter temps. Haven’t had a single issue. When cold I can tell how the engine revs down quicker since oil is really thick so I couldn’t imagine the 5w. Still it’s been running for more than 50k miles on the Mobil1 0w-40 and it’s been great.
The accord gets regular mobil 1 from walmart.
I use Mobil1 0w-40 and a Mobil1 filter. Haven’t had any issues. I’ve noticed that when my oil intervals where more far apart the engine would idle at 1,400rpms then feel like it raises it and lowers it like some of the sort. An issue that goes away once I put fresh new oil in everytime. It doesn’t interfere with the engines performance or anything but it’s something I notice on cold starts.
I'm using Mobil 0w-20, no problems here.
I have been using Mobil1 for a long time in all my cars. AFAIK it has performed will in independent testing for this car as well but the consensus is that the shell rotella is the best stuff you can get. i have also recently switched to 5w20 instead of 0w20 because i live in a climate where it never really gets cold and i wanted something a touch heavier for auto-x abuse. most people agree that we are talking about a very minor difference at best, but it does feel a touch smoother now.
Mobil 1 15W50 [emoji106] Has plenty of ZDDP
Recently got my first oil change at 5K and used mobil 1 0w40. The engine is now louder as compared to what it originally was. Not sure if it is the oil being too thin? or perhaps the cold weather.
