I've been using Mobil1 in my car for three years because the garage I worked at had a contract with their local distributor, and that's what I got at a steep discount. Last year I put Total's equivalent oil in it, absolutely no discernible diffrence between the two.
I run 5w30 Mobil 1 ESP with a Mann filter every 10k kms on my 7.5R. Got a great deal on it when it was on sale. It meets VW ratings, and I feel like that is really what is important.
I am using Liqui Moly now, but was using Valvoline/Mobil 1.
Got my car at 36k miles, and used the Valvoline/Mobil 1 up to ~300k miles and no major issues…
I use 5w-20 full synthetic from Mobil One. I change it every 5k miles, no more, and never have any issues with it.
I prefer Mobil 1 oil, some people will swear by the or that brand. I just wouldn’t buy store brand stuff myself.
I am running 0W-30 (already passed my powertrain warranty). Engine sounds quieter and better (ie less trashy).

I would not hesitate to use Mobil1 in my RAV4. I think it's more important that you change the oil than the brand of oil. I have not used Amsoil in 15 years, but my experience was that it was solid.
I used to do 10k mile oil changes with Mobil 1 EP.
Motul. Really anything except Mobil 1, that shit kills EJ’s.
