Engine oil Mobil or OEM Honda
I use 10w40 also from Mobil 1 high mileage. A lot of our engines will have a tick on start up or once hot, if so with your Motul, switch brands to another top tier on next oil change and see if your engine likes that brand more.
I changed oil with 80% Mobil 1 high mileage and 20% Lucas high mileage oil stabilizer in it, did better than just Mobil 1 high mileage 5w20 alone in summer, (very hot temperature).
M1 ESP is arguably the best oil out there. It does not shear fast, doesnt degrade with 5% fuel dilution.
I run Mobil in all my cars. The regular 0W-40 is cheap and easy to get, as is the 5W-30 ESP for the RS3. Right from Walmart.
I drove a 2008 Honda Civic for 5 years with only oil changes and no issues, then I moved to a 2013 Honda Civic for 7 years with only oil changes and no issues. Since then I've been in my model 3 with no oil changes and no issues. So not a really big difference for me.
Mobil1 is $25 a jug at the Walmart, my Blackstone Labs reports say it would be fine if I wanted to extend it well beyond the factory 6k interval.
I noticed a massive difference switching from 0w-30 to Mobil 1 FS 5w-40 in my NG 93. Engine sounded better, burned WAY less oil, and no noticeable fuel economy or power difference. I also used Ceratec a few times and that made it feel smoother.
Ran quieter on 5-40 heavy duty diesel Mobil 1
Felt more powerful, but that may have been a perception from quieter and smoother power. Others on Saabnet reported the same.
Honda's own 0w20. It would feel sluggish at the end of the oil life. You can feel it on the hybrid model
You should stop using Mobil 1 oil period. Their oil is dog shit when it comes to wear protection, cold flow, burn point, and more.
