I used Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 for a while (not cat AND Sohn installed) and it was fine.
I have a couple of oil changes of the M1 0W30 ESP. It does meet the spec.
I run Brotella T6 5-40. 22.50 a gallon from amazon. Fantastic Stuff.
If you look at the forums there’s tons of information on this. The rotella T6 5w40 is considered to be the best oil for the EJ hands down.
I use 40 until Winter then I switch to 30.
I use OEM oil filters and Mobil 1 15w50 oil on my oil burning autobahn buster Scirocco
I've always had great luck running 0w-20 Mobil 1 through my 2012 skyactiv. Regular changes through 130k and counting.
I run 15W-40 Shell [B]Rotella in my Volvo because it's an old turbo car and the enthusiast community has had success with it.
I use Mobil 1 full synthetic on my track prepped 350Z
Toyota Synthetic is made by Mobil. It’s basically Mobil 1.
