Engine oil MOTUL or Eneos
I use it in my '14 1200 GS and it's the best oil for the job, tried Castrol and it's not even close. With Motul she runs much smoother and the gearshifts are much better than on Castrol, or OEM BMW oil for that matter
All my cars i use motul 8100 power so spending price ranging from 300 to 1000.
I run 300v Motul. Much better than Motorex cross power in my bike. Also tried Motul 7100 but that was no better than the Motorex. Have to change oil at 5000km with 300v, but I do that anyway or earlier.
Motul x-clean EFE. Went back to 5W-30 since I saw some MPG lost (the STI is DD).
Motul 8100xclean 5w40 during the summer since I'm in az and every day is 100+, the 5w30 loses its viscosity too fast in the summer
I have used Eneos 5w30 in it since I bought it. This is a group 5 oil and I believe that it saved my ass. Last summer going to work my car blew the top radiator hose off. I was about 3 miles from work and so I decided to just drive it. The temp gauge was pegged all the way. Come to find out my radiator inlet broke since it was plastic. I was able to get the hose back on after work and filled it up with coolant. Replaced the radiator with an aluminum CSF two row and knock on wood everything has been good since. Not losing water or oil and no smoke coming out the tailpipe or anything.
Motul 8100 xcess 5-40. I got a built shortblock and it’s the best for the boxer engine IMO
Only use Motul 8100 5w40. I have after market parts and turbo.
I’m switching from Motul to it since Motul is hard to come by where I am, and I hate buying oil online.
It’s absolute trash, stop using it.
A little back story I just recently did an oil change in my ‘20 WRX, was using Valvoline full synthetic and decided to try out Motul, noticed my oil temps went up 4-6° and started doing some research into oil. Discovered that Motul ranks 177 out of 244 oils tested for wear protection, Amazon basics and Walmart ranked higher.
