Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum 5w20 and WIX 57060 (non XP) filter. I bought my truck with around 40k miles, it now has 90k and have had no issues with the motor changing the oil every 7500 per Blackstone's oil analysis I sent in not long after I took ownership.
Redline and royal purple filter for my 17 ram sport 5.7. 60kish on it now.
Pennzoil Ultra Plat.
My dealership usually overfills my car and I do not think they use Toyota 0w-16 based on oil tests I have done. I do my own changes and switched from Toyota 0w-16 to Mobil 0w-16 and landed on Pennzoil presently and going forward.
I run penzoil ultra platinum. I’ll spend the extra money to know that I might get a few more hours out of my gen.
Luckily modern oils are developed with this in mind. Costco/walmart/amazon oil is made by the same company, Warren oil. I think most people consider penzoil ultra platinum as one of the best.
I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30. It’s hasn’t failed me yet and I’ve done multiple track days
Pennzoil ultra platinum 5w-30 in my 2016. Will use it in wife's 2025 when warranty is done.
Honestly, any brand should be okay as long as you change your oil every 5k miles. Personally I run Penz ultra plat. I never burn oil with it and my engine sounds quieter than it did w/ Mobil 1.
On the Gen 2 Prius that have been several reports of Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic consuming oil much quicker, me included.
