Engine oil RED LINE or AMSOIL
Amsoil Signature Series 0w40 is an outstanding oil I run it with the SRT filter.
I am a big fan of amsoil. I purchased a used F150 in 2012 . It had 80,000 miles. The first thing I did was I changed the engine oil, tyranny fluid, and front and rear end lubs to Amsoil. It now has 242,000 miles and just keeps on running.
I personally use Red-Line products, and it's the absolute BEST products out there. Their 2 Stroke racing no smoke oil is OUTSTANDING and 2nd to none.
I have used Amsoil for years and I change my oil every 15,000 to 20,000 miles.
Amsoil 5w-40 in my 3.6 Corrado that gets pushed hard to redline often and has seen somewhat high oil temps when driving harder. I use liqui moly 5w-40 in my 3.6 CC and 3.0T Q7.
if you to go for the best oil and the most expensive ones, you can use liqui moli, valvoline, ams oil
I'm over 50 K on my current Amsoil change. I drive my car a couple thousand miles a month for work. I also put Archoil additive in it when I did the change.
AMSOIL Signature Series 5w-30 with a black JDM Subaru Filter is the superior combo.
I used Amsoil 5w40 European Car formula or Gulf 5w40 Formula G in my A6 previously. Technically Amsoil doesn't have the have the VW 502 00, 505 00 certifications so I think I will start using Gulf Formula G or GX exclusively in my R, either the 5w40 or 5w30 grade.
So when i changed the car to 10w40 redline I noticed that the car began to knock around 3-4k which it didn't do before and now it seems to slowly get worse.
