Engine oil RED LINE or MOTUL
I use Motul 300v 5w40. I also drift so depending on what you’re doing it could be overkill. Before I just used Royal Purple 5w30 or Castrol full synthetic 5w30.
Redline 5w30, the best
Motul 8100 stopped all oil burning issues I had in my Subaru Turbo. Mobile 1 would just burn off and I had to constantly add oil
I changed my engine oil at 5k km on my own because the bike felt shit to drive, heating up too much + shitty mileage, my guess is that RE uses an improper grade or bad quality oil, i used the motul 10w50 fully synthetic oil, it's an immediate and huge improvement, mileage, heating, smoothness, clutch, everything improved, and I'm not even exaggerating.
Would be better to use a quality full synthetic instead. Motul 7100 is very popular but there are other options. I'm thinking about giving the Shell/Ducati oil a try.
Well if you ride a dirtbike i might not reccomend it i use motul 7100 10w50 i belive it isnt rly expensive and its a good oil most of the local racers use it including me.
This is amazing . I have it in my 200 ns and it feels so smooth. There is 300v too but i never tried it . 7100 is best engine oil beside petronas if you can locate it anywhere
The Motul 7100 20W50 is a good choice.
I refused the engine oil change -as I had plans to go the motul 7100(10w40) route- but air filter needed to be changed and so will the brake pads within the next thousand kms as informed by the service guy. After the service, I could feel a difference in the top end, as in it reaches 110 quicker, but then again might be my imagination.
If you can use Redline 5w30, go right ahead. You will not have an issue. I call Redline the guarantee oil. I can pretty much guarantee that you will never have the dreaded lifter tick. It has been known to quieten a ticking engine too.
