Engine oil Shell or Eneos
I've used Rotella T6 in literally all of my bikes since 2017 because it is cheap and has JASO MA2, it is deisel oil.
For shits and giggles I switched to ENEOS 5w30 synthetic in my 2 current vehicles and now I'm able to go 5,000 miles between oil changes and while some oil is still consumed, it stays above the "add" line on the dipstick without adding oil between oil changes.
I've been running rotella t6 4w40 in my 81 cb750c for the past 15 years. I also use it in every other bike I own or have serviced and my 4 wheeled vehicles.
I use Rotella T6 5w40 in all my vehiciles. It's a quality oil that works well for everything I own from mechanical turbo diesel to motorcycles to big blocks.
something you might consider is switching to Shell Rotella T6 5w-40.
you can find many testimonies to the benefits of using T6.
My 1.8t is currently filled with Rotella T6 and I swear its eating less oil now (or maybe I'm getting better with my heavy foot)
I always buy engine oil from Lotus (Tesco). Shell Helix especially on sale.
The same oil goes into all GDI engines at my dealer, which is Shell Helix Ultra SP 0W-20. This is a super expensive, latest spec oil. Oil changes with this oil are done at 9320 miles if turbocharged and 18 640 miles if naturally aspirated.
I have a buddy that used the Shell Rotella diesel oil that is dirt cheap for his 2009 r1.
I'm at 365,000 km and switched to Shell Rotella T6 probably 30-40k ago. Oil consumption was at last halved - the detergents in that oil really help clean up deposits in the rings, or so I'm told.
