Engine oil VALVOLINE or AMSOIL
Mobil 1 "eh" oil. It's okay, not bad like royal purple but better off on Vavoline or Pennzoil. Also Motul but that's expensive shit. Amsoil is okay, it's one step above OEM.
My 2007 camry is on 22k km (engine 2AZ-AE). No oil burning so far. Always been using penrite 5w-30 while servicing between 5000 to 8000. Only one time had burning smell while running engine on Valvoline 10W-30. Changed the oil at 3k, after that smooth as it was.
Been running amsoil in my Vitpilen 701. Same engine and it's been great. I run the 15w-50 metric stuff though.
I’ve run amsoil in all my bikes and still do. Same with all my cars and trucks. Never had issues
Valvoline full syn high mileage and black OEM filter - 113k miles and it doesn’t eat any between changes.
Eh if it’s VW approved then it’s fine. I just use Castrol Euro or Valvoline Euro and haven’t had any issues.
For me amsoil signature series 0w20 a lot better than ravenol ehs 0w20.
I'm regularly using amsoil ss on my Honda L15z1 engine almost 7 years.
0W-20 Amsoil Signature Series 100% synthetic oil changed every 5k miles. Wix 57173XP filter.
Last oil change I put in Valvoline R&P 5W-30. The final 500 miles before the oil change I added Rislone and it changed the color of the oil from light to dark brown. When I got the car it was using a quart in about 2200-2500 miles.
I used Amsoil 5w40 European Car formula or Gulf 5w40 Formula G in my A6 previously. Technically Amsoil doesn't have the have the VW 502 00, 505 00 certifications so I think I will start using Gulf Formula G or GX exclusively in my R, either the 5w40 or 5w30 grade.
