Engine oil VALVOLINE or IDEMITSU
Using high mileage oil (additives to make gaskets swell just a tad bit), used to burn almost a quart between 5k miles but now it's maybe half a quart.
Looks real good. Valvoline R&P is in mine now.
Valvoline Restore & Protect oil, stat!
I do like Valvoline R&P and it is in fact cleaning up two older, normally aspirated cars I have with oiling and ring issues, installed in one Lexus and one older Acura (Isuzu).
Oil burning around 150k, although switching to Valvoline Restore & Protect I've basically eliminated it. Seems to be related to carbon buildup in the low tension rings.
Just another clean option to compete with Valvoline.
Reduced oil consumption in my 2015 Volvo V60 with 143,000 miles
It has helped the valve tick in my 150k mile Yaris
I'm trying out Valvoline Restore & Protect right now. I only ran oem Idemitsu before but started to have oil consumption issues with that oil the last two winters so I decided to switch.
Valvoline is pure trash. Hardly any additives between any other lines of oil compared to competing brands.
