Engine oil VALVOLINE or Shell
Trying the Valvoline protect and restore and it's been great
Rotella T6 15W-40 in the perfectly sized 2.5 gallon jug. I’ve run this in both LML’s since day 1 and combined it’s over 500,000 miles.
I have 2015 sportwagon tdi and use shell rotella t6 5w 40 . I have 340000 miles on and runs fine.
I’ve been running shell T6 in my STI forever with no issues.
I , personally, like Valvoline products. I've opened up engines just to see sludge built up from not changing your oil or using cheap oil and not changing it enough. I have found that engines that used Valvoline oil were much cleaner on the inside. After many miles. Compared to other brands.
Haven’t been happier since I switched to Rotella 5w-30 synthetic, the motor purrrsss and burns a 1/4 of the oil.
I use Valvoline 10w-30 synthetic blend high mileage over full synthetic because it completely gets rid of the VVEL tick and adds more protection since it’s thicker and last longer since I love to redline ???? + k&n filter 1008 or 1010
T6 Rotella 5w-40 when I run test pipes on tune, the heavy weight is great for keeping oil temps down and the zinc is awesome as a friction inhibitor but is terrible for cats so when I’m going to pass emissions I run Kirkland 5w-30 full synth on stock cats.
I usually run 5-40 euro blend by valvoline from Walmart. $27 for 5 quart jug and you cannot beat that price. Walmart has the best oil prices of any auto part store.
Full synthetic all the way, worth the extra cost. I’m trying out the new vavoline oil rn
