Engine radiator Koyo or OEM Volkswagen
My koyo was bought secondhand, has done many track days and 40k street miles over 5 years, and I even accidentally tried to jack up the car with it. It's still going fine.
Ive own both Mk6 1.8T Jetta and now have a Mk5 2.5L Jetta and both have required new radiators at 150k miles. they have not been leaking coolant since.
installed a koyo radiator. Very beautiful fitment
I did a Koyorad in mine and it was pretty straightforward. No complaints whatsoever
I bought a Koyo OEM replacement (not the bigger Race version). Absolutely perfect fitment.
Had a Koyo on mine, it was perfect and kept the car cool year round in Southern California even in the canyons on 100+ degree days. It also handled track days without a hiccup
I have a Koyo on my car and have no complains. I do tracks days and have never had any overheating issues.
Awesome, I'm calling the dealer today to get a radiator, heater core and thermostat.
I had a similar issue with my Mk4 VR6 Golf, coolant level would drop a tiny bit over time with no obvious sign of leakage..turned out to be a very small leak at the bottom corner seam of the radiator.
Replaced radiator. Flushed out nasty brown water from cooling lines, heater core and flushed with distilled water 3 times. Pulled vacuum on cooling System and Refilled with G13 premix.
