Flywheel Exedy or Sachs
I believe I've found the correct one on amazon (Part # NFW7206) from the Sachs store.
I have the Exedy stage one clutch and flywheel combo. My old clutch began slipping (130k miles) and I’m super happy with the lightweight flywheel. It does has transmission chatter which isn’t terrible but noticeable. It is a lot quicker and the clutch grabs hard with a little bit of a stiffer petal. If it’s hard to shift in certain gears think about adjusting the CMC. The Exedy oem clutch is also really good. IMO flywheel is very much worth it if you don’t mind some cabin noise.
I like exedy and I wouldn\u2019t run an XTD clutch but I figured the flywheel would be fine.
I have an Exedy stage 1 with lightweight flywheel and I love it.
I personally dont like the single mass ones they tend to have clatter the dual mass is smoother and is what came from the factory.
As for noise, stock! actually since the flywheel is brand slpankin new it is quieter than stock. Absolutely no chatter and no gear noise.
i have 300 miles on the Sachs SMF set up and i couldn't be more pleased. i hear no noise at idle, and very little noise on decel. you'd probably never notice it if no one told you about it. this is definitely the quietest SMF set up out there and you don't have to keep wondering how long your DMF is going to hold up.
You can buy a brand new Sachs flywheel from rockauto.com for $50. I recommend a Genuine Sachs Cultch Superset (Sachs factory packaged clutch set).
Only manage 150 miles so far, but the vast majority has been surface streets with lots of stop and go. Pedal effort has gone down as expected. It also feels more linear, whereas it was initially both heavy and progressive. The biggest difference I\u2019m noticing is the lack of inertia from the SMF. The chatter and gear lash has gotten louder, surprisingly.
I opted for a lightweight flywheel along with oem style exedy clutch. 1/10 don’t recommend lightweight flywheel. Seems such a small motor is constantly chugging at low speeds. It’s fun but it’s a neck breaker.
