Headlights Bosch or OEM Porsche
I once read a while ago that some Porsche Cayenne headlights are supposedly very good for growing weed. They used to get stolen regularly, I've heard about several cases here in Germany.
Those headlights won Le Mans on 1998. Enough said
I enjoy the wedge-look of my 944 when the headlights are down. I don't mind the look when they're up, but they just look better down.
The novelty was cool right after purchasing the car, but now I'm more worried about something breaking with them and having to pay a big repair bill for something pretty simple.
I went for a 996.2 for the Turbo style headlights... but those fried eggs kinda look good on the GT3!
I like how the amber part gives the impression of the cut line for the hood flowing around to the fender.
Now, I do like the pop up headlights. I've always liked the undeniable 80's look about them and still get a warm fuzzy feeling inside every time I turn my headlights on and see them rise up.
I don’t know why, but I like them on the 996 but don’t on the 986
My indy Porsche mechanic told me they had to charge a Cayenne owner 3500+ to replace a headlight. He said even the headlight has a microchip now. Just unnecessary complexity.
I particularly hate the Porsche headlights with the 4 dots of light, they create a weird afterimage for several minutes.
Is the question whether the owner replaced the horrible SAE/DOT 7" sealed beam units with E-Code H4 7" from Bosch or Hella or Cibié?
