Headlights Bosch or OEM Volvo
You have late Bosch headlights, in Europe they came with plastic diffusers, ZKW headlights and Bosch headlights with projectors had glass ones.
Definitely not the most popular choice but I had beat oem headlights and couldn’t see a damn thing and you’re not gonna catch me spending $500+ for bosch’s just to be oem+ that don’t improve visibility. Honestly pretty happy with the look and I really like the taillights.
Ended up finding someone on marketplace, set me up with a solid used set of Bosch headlights for a good price.
Nooo. Return them. Get the DEPO headlights. Good ZKW/Bosch sets are expensive nowadays and DEPOs are perfectly fine.
The other issues (and the warning) do not seem normal, but at least my S90L 2026 has condensation in the headlights from day 1 (literally). The user guide says it is normal.
This guy is laughing at the end of the day, your fancy active bending Thors Hammer lights are easily $2,500 each when they break.
I have bosche oem lights and they have very poor performance at night.
Unfortunately due to stupid decisions at Volvo Xc40 lacks of one of best features of larger brothers. Headlights don't turn. As per Volvo it's a small economy level car.
Is the question whether the owner replaced the horrible SAE/DOT 7" sealed beam units with E-Code H4 7" from Bosch or Hella or Cibié?
Volvo S40 Headlights are not bright - I have recently changed them and its still not much better.
