Headlights Depo or EAGLE EYES
I would rewire it myself if everything is accessible, otherwise maybe get new headlights, got myself some new one from DEPO.
the depot headlights have been great for me and wayyyyy less than replacement stock ones cost.
I’ve finally pulled the trigger on getting the original US Sealed Beam headlights swapped out for some new Euro/WW Composite glass-lens units. The install was super smooth and straightforward. I found a pair of new DEPO headlights on eBay. The new DEPOs came with a janky headlight wiring adapter but, I opted for a OEM-quality install with 2 new 6-pin headlight connectors. The headlights have full functionality including the W3W City Lights which I soldered in.
I have had DEPO lights on other cars, they are fine replacements, espcially for an older car.
Installed new depo sport headlights. Makes the front end look so much better than old faded ones.
Just search for e-code headlights. I have Depo and they're fine, but not as nice as OEM Valeo.
That said, I have used eBay headlight before, specifically the brand Eagle Eyes (for my daily Camry, not Taco). Things to be concerned about is mainly the lens to housing seal. A lot of cheaper lights will allow condensation to get inside the lenses. Quick fix though.
that Depo crap isn't worth the work
don't spray ANY harsh cleaner on those Depo's. Soap and water only and make sure you put some kind of UV protectant after every wash. Depos are good until they aren't, you can search this on the GXOR main group page on FB to see what happens 8-12 months with Depo bc they use the cheapest and thinnest lenses which will yellow and get stress cracks from the sun and heat if you don't care for them. Don't let the honeymoon phase fool you, there is a reason why Depo's are significantly cheaper than OEM NOS. I had the same sport depo's on my 470, and after 2yrs they were trashed.
So I just bought some depo headlights to upgrade form my foggy oem ones. Went for a drive and the low beams seem decently placed, maybe a little high but somewhat dim output. The high beams unfortunately are in the trees and absolutely useless. I’ve used the adjustment screw on the back and I’ve run out of adjustment to bring them down. Photos added for detail. Not sure what to do at this point, disappointed to have spent 400 on lights that might not work out.
