Headlights Morimoto or OEM Volkswagen
He sells the set + fog lights for $1000 and I’m very impressed! These are ONLY the LED low beams but I’m still very happy with the projection, cutoff, and OEM quality. The install was a breeze too.
Morimoto XB, expensive but worth it. Light output is good imo and they look amazing. Plus the turn signal is the drl and you can actually see it unlike the stock newer headlights.
I have the morimoto xb and love them!
Morimoto xb hybrids for sure. 800$ and look and perform great
i had the same error pop up recently, drivers side was burnt out and passenger side was close. replaced them with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U1OL44G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 super easy fix and these lights match the color of the headlights.
SO so so much happier with these headlights after manually leveling them!
The speed at which the lights turn will vary from slowest to quickest. Switch from Eco to Race and you'll easily notice a difference. I keep my lights in race; I've enjoyed how they change directions almost instantly with my steering input to better light the road ahead.
I think a few people asked in this thread if the manual adjustments actually make a difference, and I can confirm what other's have stated...using tape measures today, the manual adjustments change the center height of the self-leveling/adaptive system. It makes logical sense because even under the best of manufacturing conditions, both the headlight units and chasis will vary slightly, requiring the ability for manual adjustments to ensure proper, legal, alignment. About 1.5 turns for my setup seems to keep it within the guidelines for adjusting headlamps. For sure, VW went conservative and had them a bit lower.
The headlights on my GLI are 1495 ea, and that does include bulbs, sensors, motor ext. AFS headlights are a lot of $$$.
About 3 weeks ago, my right headlight (HID with AFS swivel motors) goes out and I get the message in the MFD - \"AFS Inoperative\" followed by \"Lower Right Dipped Beam out\" (or something to that effect).
