Headlights OEM BMW or OEM Honda
For headlights there a tons of options. Personally I went with an OEM style with black housings, but you can find a bunch on ebay. Just be prepared for the clearcoat to wear out on them after 3 or so years if it lives outside.
I’ve had people flash their lights at our new Honda because they think the high beams are on. I feel bad but what am I supposed to do? That’s how the thing came from Honda.
So the headlights on my BMW are so much better than headlights I’ve had in previous cars. They illuminate the road so much better.
The LEDs are a massive upgrade for a Honda.
Overall I like the new Prelude design, but the front IMO is the weakest element as this post highlights. Just not as clean as I think they could have done.
Here’s one, my 21 BMW 218 has quite high dims. I regularly get flashed to dim my light when they are dimmed. There is no dial / setting on the car that I’m aware of to adjust this. I asked BMW and they said I’d need to leave it in (which will cost €300 or something ridiculous).
When driving my '18 Honda Civic i get flashed for having my high beams on pretty regularly when I don't.
Can't believe this is a "sealed unit" that managed to get condensation inside from driving through a puddle. What is BMW's QC coming to?
My wife’s 2020 118i headlight had the yellow issue in one. Non-dealer bmw shop quoted us $3,500 but we had to do both for $7,000. About 50% of the residual value of the car, for a yellow headlight.
Replacing a single headlight on our BMW x5 was $7,500.
