Headlights OEM BMW or TYC
For that price, you’re looking at the same cost as a set of TYC headlights, which are great quality headlights.
Literally today I am putting my repaired headlight back in my F10. Was worse than yours, but started off looking like yours. Eventually I started getting faults for the headlight as water contaminated the electrics.
TYC or Depo are OE replacement lamps, they're good enough for insurance and/or body shops to use instead of OE. The difference is the lens material, it's a thinner, lower grade plastic.
My son bought some they looked immaculate. We compared the OEM housing to the TYC and it looked like TYC bought the molds or the engineering drawings as everything was identical, down to seam lines.
Bought some TYC replacements for my 4th gen a few years back. They’ve held up well
I’ve got TYC headlights on my V50. It all works and fits but the quality is definitely lower than oem, but it works and its a lot cheaper so its worth it if you are on a budget. Would go oem next time though
Water inside after first wash
Just got back from a 1200 kms trip in my 2024 bmw x5 m40i.I can confirm that the headlights are bad.Had a nasty sidewall rupture on the front right tyre because I couldn’t see a pothole in the rain at night .
BMW does it now as well. Headlight went out. 3300 part another 3000 labor. Found a replacement. And was told it won’t work unless dealer programs it but dealer won’t program unless we buy new from them.
The headlights look like they’re in shock all the time. The only part I’m not a fan of this car.
