Oil filter Fram or VALVOLINE
-Full synth Pennzoil oil and any of the Fram synthetic-friendly filters plus the BG EPR and MOA treatment before and after every change.
I like Valvoline Restore and Protect along with the OEM black filter. But also, if your washer fluid lights keeps coming on, just unplug it. It’s so much easier than trying to find an another bump in the road to purposefully drive over to turn off! \ud83d\ude02 some say you can fill your washer reservoir with white vinegar and clean the sensor, but it didn’t work for me.
valvoline and oem filter
I use cheap Fram filters ($4 each!) Oil always clean and fresh.
I’m almost 60. I have exclusively used Fram on every car I’ve owned and I have never had an oil related issue. If you’re planning on not changing your oil for 10k or more then it may be an issue.
I assume that if I get the el cheapo Fram with the paper media, pretty soon all the paper inside will be shredded?
All that and he put in a cheap Fram filter?
The shop I bought it from refunded me for the fram oil filter and my engine is fine but I’m pretty disappointed in myself for not doing anything when I noticed the gasket on the filter was a little big, I thought fram was just improving their seal bc I’ve had a few filters develop small drips. But just thought I would share my experience I think I’ll also spend a little more and get wix if their performance isn’t better Ik their quality control is bc every filter is sealed.
Fram is junk. Stick with OE/OEM.
No, fram is the worst possible oil filter brand. They are restrictive, cheap, Chinese crap. I've seen them come fresh out the box with gaps in the metal. I've seen videos of people cutting open un used filters and finding surface rust.
