Oil filter Mann or OEM FORD
Also be sure to use a high quality oil filter, like a Mann...I had a Fram collapse under sludgy 5w40 in the cold.
I've been running MANN brand filters for the last 5 years with no problems.
I used 30W Ford Super Premium Motor Oil and a Ford FL-1A filter, and I changed the oil and filter, and greased every component myself, including the U-joints every 3,000 miles where necessary. I asked my Uncle who manufactured this oil, and he didn’t know, UNTIL one day, he received a case of oil Labeled as Exon Uniflo, one of the highest rated brands at the time. It was obvious, at least to me, that Ford Super Premium engine oil and Exon Uniflo were one and the same. I sold the car 5 years later with almost 98,000 miles on it, and absolutely no engine problems.
Last year i bought a car (Ford Focus) that had been garaged for 4 years.
Changed oil and filter as a precaution.
It’s been peanuts for me so far (knock on wood)

I use Mann Filters and full synthetic 5W40 every 5k miles like clockwork.
In my Hybrid, I use the OLM for recommended changes, except for the initial break-in oil/filter change. I did that one at 4k, which was about 2k of gasoline engine miles. OEM filter was tiny and I wanted to get it replaced.
chain driven and reliable, only maintenance they need is regular oil changes and you can do that yourself for £35 with a jug of castrol and a mann filter
Replace filter (Mann/Mahle) every oil change.
We have a 2023 tiquan hi r line and a 2023 Taos highline never an issue except rear brakes on Taos and wipers both taken care of under warranty/ we change oil Liqui moly 0w-20 every 5,000 km with a Mann oil filter and air filter every second oil change also by Mann
99-03 Ranger with a 3.0, filter above the start and the number of guys I seen set one on fire by arcing the starter with filter pliers is more than 6…
