It’s a reliable brand. Any major oil brand should work well, as long as you stick to reputable names. I have my oil changed elsewhere and use different brands with no issues or noticeable difference between them, but I always make sure to buy the original oil filter directly from Toyota in advance.

i use hks engine flush, valvoline vr1 20w-50 and a mann oil filter.
I did my FJ’s oil change for the first time myself a few weeks ago. All the aftermarket filters seem to not be as good as OEM, and they cost more. Got mine from the dealer, with the gasket, for under $9
I use Mann oil filter. Possibly a bypass in them when pressure exceeds a certain amount???? Like when the engine is cold, 100+ psi???
Use good oil filters too!
I just had to do $1400 in repairs to a BMW because a Chinese oil filter ripped and passed unfiltered oil through all the VANOS shit. MANN filters only.
