Oil filter Mann or OEM Volkswagen
ca. 40€ für 5l 5W40 und ca. 10€ für Mann Ölfilter
I try and buy MANN oil filters when I can. A mechanic told me that at least on the old Volvo I once owned (92’ Volvo 940 sedan) MANN oil filters have an extra oil passage within the filter and that they are superior. I would assume this is true for the rest of their products.
Personally the only filter I’d use is Mann. K&N air filters suck definitely wouldn’t trust them with an oil filter.
I've always used Mann or Hengst oil filters.
I always do Mann filters when available like temporary-republic-6 said it is the OE filter. Also some independent companies have cut and tested different filters and found Mann has the largest filtering surface. I been using mann for roughly 20 years now.
Crushed filter seen here as well, with low oil pressure light randomly firing at idle. Factory filter is only a couple bucks more (that\u2019s what went in yesterday) - problem solved!
I do every 3-5k miles, with Mann oil filter, both o rings, drain plug and washer, 7 quarts of 5w-40 liqui moly Leichtlauf High Tech oil.
I have used Mann Filters and Valvoline European 5w40 since new. I have gotten the OCI dialed in at 6500 miles.
VW Touareg V6 roughly $600 at an independent euro mechanic for regular service
Absolutely not normal for 3k miles looks to be oem/ Mann filter but makes no sense to be collapsed already, did you do the oil change yourself or bring it somewhere to get done 3k ago? Also do not use that k&n keep it Mann
