Go on Groupon and look for shops in your area. I get coupons for Valvoline and they’ve always been good to me. I save a good bit as well!
I just put Valvoline full synthetic high mileage 5w-20 with a motorcraft filter in my 2011, and it runs so smooth now. I used to have some noise on startup but nothing now.
I also do mine at 5k, religiously. I use Honda Ultimate Full Synthetic 10w30 with a Honda brand filter.

I only use the OEM filters. They do the job perfectly, I have no reason to try my luck with a different one.
8th gen Si sedan. Honda filter only! They cost about the same as whatever shit filter you're going to buy at autozone anyway.
$0 because e-Tron however, on the A5 2.0T; I’m paying $50 for oil (Valvoline full synth) and $16 for the oil filter…but I own all the tools and use my employee discount.
The "valvoline" brand ones are pretty shit.
Changing the oil filter on 8th gen Si's is a pain in the ass. You need to stick your entire arm around the exhaust header, axle, and steering rack to get to the filter, and then once you barely get a grip and spin it off, it spews oil all over your axle boot and into the subframe.
