Oil filter OEM Toyota or Castrol
I use Pennzoil 0W-30 Euro Platinum, and a Castrol CAS3593 filter every time, and change my oil every 6000kms which is about 3728 miles. I have heard good things about the efficiency of the Castrol filters.
Use full synthetic Mobil one or Castrol Change every 7k miles. And the oil filter too.
10,000 mile oil changes till it hits 200k miles, then 7,500 intervals. Always using
Royal Purple and Toyota filters. Zero oil consumption between changes
Been using 0W20 on my 2010 Corolla for 100,000km now with no issues. As others said, use a quality filter. I use the genuine filter from Toyota for around $12.
The oil is 0W-16, any major brand will do, and the OEM filter is 90915-YZZN1 which you can find both online. There's an aluminum gasket for the drain plug that you should be changing each time too.
Oem filter. Ive tried Toyota Genuine Motor Oil, idemitsu IFG 7 and 5 and Valvoline advanced. Sticking with IFG 5 for the next 4 oil changes
$27 synthetic 0-16W. $7 Toyota filter.
So $34. I do it myself. I don’t trust Walmart.
$30 total.
$25 for 5qt oil, $4.5 for oem filter from Toyota dealership.
I’ve been bringing these OEM Toyota filters to the shop for years now. And they’re always the exact same ones, and moreover, they’ve always put them on for me without a problem. Today, for some reason, they told me that it’s not compatible with my car?
They didn't change out my oil filter. Since it was a cartidge I put a piece of tape over that it would separate if removed. It wasn't broken.
