The most popular setup on the [FJ Forum](https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/) is the Blistein 6112 up front and 5160s in the rear. This is for good reason, when it comes to bang-for-buck the 6112's are hard to beat.

Pros: bang-for-buck
Vehicle: Toyota FJ Cruiser

If you prefer a firm ride, go with B6. The damper shaft is almost twice as thick as stock (and the B4 units). I had B8 with ACS springs and rrrrreally enjoyed the setup (same as B6 but shorter). If I wanted to maintain standard ride height, I’d definitely get the B6.

Pros: firm ride, robust

I have an Alltrack with GTI springs and B4s. It's well controlled but doesn't take as hard a set when cornering as the Koni's I had previously. I got tired of replacing the koni struts and they were too firm for the wife so the B4's were an easy choice.

Pros: well controlled
Cons: doesn't take hard set
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Bilstein 4600 at a minimum. Quality shocks make too big of a difference, you definitely get what you pay for.

Pros: quality shocks, big difference
Cons: shitty ride
Vehicle: Ford
Part number: 4600

All these shocks like Bilsteins, OME, etc are firmer than OEM, no matter what they say. They will limit lean more than OEM, but they will not be more comfortable overall than a set of new OEM shocks.

Pros: limit lean more
Cons: firmer than OEM
