Shock absorbers Bilstein or Rough Country
I like bilstien myself. Their shock valves tend to be well done. We run B6 on our c5 and it’s great. Very controlled a the comes. And in street my wife daily drives it and finds the ride very good with summer tires
I personally have Bilstein 4600 shocks, and they're pretty smooth after break-in.
Put mine on at 90k getting to 125k deep into a Canadian winter, couldn't be happier.
I have b4 shocks for sport suspension, the ride is never harsh, takes hits and potholes very well, but when cruising down a freeway the car is a little busy feeling as in firm/ with a slight jiggle but never harsh if that makes sense
Handles very well on backroads,
I have a 2017 that I did 6112/5160s on and it's hands down my favorite mod.
I really like how my Bilstein 5100s ride. They have different notches in the body for the different height settings from stock to 2.5" lift, iirc. I originally had mine at the stock, but put them one below the top height shortly afterward. Night and day difference in ride quality in both settings over the worn-out stockers.
Billstein 5100s are pretty affordable ($130 each) and will perform better than the stock shocks. They’re pretty much the gold standard for value/performance for most midsize and full size trucks.
I have the bilsteins, very happy with them.
B4 is SE, I run B6 (oem sport height) on the rear and B8 (sport+) on the front with Eibach springs, this setup is low and will catch on some speedbumps.
I’m actually not a huge fan of the bilstein after having the 5100 on for a couple years now.
