Best bang for your buck would definitely be bilsteins. If you don't do much off-road then bilsteins will be plenty good enough
I used Bilstein 5100s forever on previous trucks and they worked well and gave me some added lift. I now run Bilstein 6112s in front and 5160s in the rear. More expensive set up but way better ride than any Rancho shock could give you.
I have Bilstein 5100’s on my ‘15 and love them. Leveled the front with them to within a 1/4”.
Did you test the ride quality at different ride heights? I think if you raised up about an inch you would see that these are vastly superior to stock suspension. I had mine moderately low then raised them up 3/4 inch and the ride quality is much better. I have B16s.

I'm running 4600's on my blazer and they've been great.
I have B8 5100s in my 4Runner. Off-road or on-road I have never had an issue with them. I thought they were a noticeable improvement over my stock ride in terms of comfort, even with the 2" lift.
My DCC struts and shocks blew out and I was about to bite the bullet and order isweep cancellers along with a set of bilstien b8s. You just saved me $500 and a lot of headache from a less than ideal delete.
I’m stock for now, and probably only going to upgrade to some entry/mid-level Bilstein.
Not apples to apples comparison but I put Bilsteins on my f150 and wish I hadn’t. They are much stiffer, great for towing but not for everything else. Would go stock if I did it again
