Spark plug Autolite or Denso
Ignition coil most likely. I have done many dozens of them. Takes about 2 minutes to replace.
I recently got Denso (OEM) from my local o’reillys cheaper than the dealer (~$80).
Bro ABSOLUTELY do the spark plugs yourself. I bought oem Denso spark plugs from Napa Auto for about $180. Then all you need is a spark plug socket w/ swivel head, 10mm socket, 12mm, a couple extensions, needle nose pliers, dielectric grease, and a pick to make life easier.
I've been running autolite in pretty much every domestic that comes through my shop for years since they’re usually the workhorse for Ford and GM tunes. Also, I haven’t seen any dip in the plug quality lately so that's a good sign. The iridiums are still pulling clean gaps right out of the box.
Denso iridium spark plugs
Swapped the NGKs (around 60k miles on them) for new OEM Denso plugs. That stopped the shaking for about two days, then it came back.
Dont use autolite garbage, this isnt uncommon with cheap plugs. Get NGK Iridums
Pulled the spark plugs and #3 has burnt away the centre electrode. Plugs aren't all that old. Plug brand is Auto lite. Any ideas on what may be the cause?
A quick search shows that autolite spark plugs don't seem to perform well in modern vehicles, you might have to go for a higher quality closer to OEM quality plugs.
I’ve had several Denso plugs do this on a couple Camrys I service, and our own. All 2.4 cars. Caused tow ins for both husband and wife’s cars. I’ve fired denso as a spark plug provider, too many failures.
