Denso Engine radiator

my 2005 4Runner Limited 4WD V8 that I bought one year ago with only 55k miles on it (well maintained time capsule), was just fine. Zero leaks from the radiator or anything. At 65k miles I went ahead and replaced the radiator with a Denso unit.

I figured going from a life in SoCal to southeast Texas summers would tax the radiator. Plus, 55k miles in 20 years, and now I’ll put about 20k miles a year on it, would likely make the original radiator go pop at the most inconvenient time, surely.

Pros: zero leaks
Mileage: 65000 km

I have a 2006 corolla, had same problem, just bought a new denso starter and no more troubles. Very easy to put the new one on actually, remove the fan on the front first for more space

Pros: easy to put on
Vehicle: Toyota Corolla

Denso Starter motor

Mine did this, it was the contacts internally in the starter motor, they wear down and make poor contact, I replaced it with a denso branded one, it never missed a beat

Pros: never missed a beat
Cons: poor contact

Denso Alternator

I have a 2005 XLS and upgraded to the 130a one, no issues at all. I bought a Denso (oem) one on rockauto for $170, sent my old one and got $40 back. The Toyota one (also denso) was like $450. The 130a was actually cheaper than the 100a too. Did it myself in about 3 hours

Pros: no issues, cheaper than OEM
Vehicle: Toyota

Denso Spark plug

Bro ABSOLUTELY do the spark plugs yourself. I bought oem Denso spark plugs from Napa Auto for about $180. Then all you need is a spark plug socket w/ swivel head, 10mm socket, 12mm, a couple extensions, needle nose pliers, dielectric grease, and a pick to make life easier.

Pros: save money, easy job
Cons: time consuming for beginner

Denso Alternator

As someone pointed out, don't expect the 150 dollar alternator to last that long. I threw on my 4runner a few months back because that's all that was in stock locally and I'm gonna have to replace it again, it's already whining. I'd definitely spend $350 or whatever it is on a denso unit

Pros: Denso unit is better
Cons: cheap alternator failed
