Spark plug NGK or Champion
The NGK's have been a solid go to for me and my little Pocket Ferrari for every day driving.
NGK run good for me
I always run champion platinum in the coil rail 4.0s. Sometimes engines are particular.
I’m 90% sure my EGTs came with Bosch plugs, switch to NGK that are 2 steps colder for my tune haven’t had any issues with them for about 25k miles
OE plugs for this engine is NGK Laser Iridium. Hyundai/Kia usually use either Denso or NGK plugs.
I'd get OEM wires and NGK iridium OEM speck plugs.
Went with the fancy ngk plugs. A man of culture. I put those in my Volvo and they say it's heresy.
I've use NGK products in American, Japanese and German vehicles for over 30 years with absolutely no problems at all. Note that NGK spark plugs come with a proprietary anti-seize coating on the threads, so no extra anti-seize is necessary at all.
I've seen with a digital tachometer a 1,000rpm difference between a laser brand spark plug and the oem ngk spark plug in a chainsaw. So for me it's what the oem uses is what I put back in.
I'm Stage 2+ with r8 coil packs and ngk BKR7EIX and still get misfires. I'm not happy about it and I'm not sure what to do.
