Spark plug NGK or OEM Mazda
I just did the 30k service and my mechanic recommended these plugs. They are expensive, but worth it.
Learned 40 years ago to use NGK. Installed brand new Autolite plugs in my girlfriends Grand Prix and it ran like crap. Went to a speed shop and they sold me a set of NGK. Ran perfectly. Have only bought NGK or Denso since.
I used these in my '19 with no issues.
spark plugs every 30K with NGK IKR9J8(Iridium plugs better than stock also used on high HP builds). I don't care that the manufacturer suggests longer intervals but i know my engine is healthy and runs almost like new.
NGK spark plugs feature trivalent plating. This silver or chrome-colored finish on the threads is designed to provide corrosion resistance against moisture and chemicals. The coating also acts as a release agent during spark plug removal. NGK spark plugs are installed at the factory dry, without lubrication or anti-seize. Anti-seize can act as a lubricant, altering torque values up to 20 percent.
My 500 sport rocked copper cores good for 30k and at 38k, when I bought it, was misfiring like mad and stumbled a ton at startup, swapped $14 a pop NGK Iridium IX Plug Number DCPR7EIX and runs like a dream
Get ngk cold start and gap them to .28? If I remember correctly for stock ..don't just drop them in
They run just fine on stock setup. Changed mine 6 months ago once the car was at 30k miles and actually managed to snap one of the plugs in the head ???? Carefully managed to get it out though. No noticeable difference from factory plugs.
only buy ngk rest is shit
Just get stock NGKs, I’ve never had brisk plugs last for anything, and the fuel stratified cars don’t really suffer from spark blowout in the same way.
