We replaced the aftermarket starter with an OEM Honda one and now it starts up quickly like it should.
Pros: starts up quickly
Vehicle:
Honda Accord
Lotsa fuss over a starter that can last 150k especially an oem one. and although the manifold is heavy comes off super quick. easily a triple time job or more if you're flat rate
Pros: starter can last 150k
Cons: manifold is heavy
Vehicle:
Toyota
Mileage: 241401 km
I ordered a used OEM starter for about $60. Because of time restraints and school, I finally got it replaced this past Friday and it works perfect now. The starter isn't sticking to the flywheel when starting now.
Pros: works perfect now
Cons: initial aftermarket starter
Vehicle:
Honda Civic
The only thing I have had to replace on the car since I bought it was a starter.
Vehicle:
Honda S2000
Mileage: 132000 km
