Thermostat OEM Honda or OEM Nissan
Only an OEM Thermostat fixed it.
I had this exact issue with 3 aftermarket thermostats that were opening too early. Bought one from Nissan and my temps went back to normal
OEM Nissan, but slightly more conservative with cooling.
Replacing the Thermostat with a OEM part has solved the issue (with coolant flush) from a dealership.
After reinstalling an OEM thermostat, I am very happy to say my high temp issues have been solved!
We had to replace thermostat from Nissan group Infinity. So far no problem right now
Just make sure you buy a genuine Nissan thermostat. I don't know what it is about these cars, but they do NOT like aftermarket thermostats. Just spend the extra ten bucks on a Nissan part.
I work at a Honda dealership in the mechanic field, and I would recommend the OEM thermostat, unless you have a rebuilt engine.
Stop using cheap thermostats. Get an oem honda unit and it will last and work correctly.
I have a 2015 sedan and I’ve got 192,000 km and owned it since brand new and I’ve had that happen and changed the thermostat twice, just make sure you get OEM Honda thermostat and coolant as it takes a certain type. Make sure you
Burp the cooling system of all air and make sure you add enough coolant to the radiator and overflow, it’s fairly common for the thermostats to fail
