Tires BFGoodrich or Firestone
As far as Indycar goes, it is hard to find a more prestigious tire company than Firestone. They have been a good partner to the Series for a long time.
The owners and drivers didn't want to ditch Firestone because their tires don't fail and they never have to worry about safety.
Wow, I only got 30k on my Firestones and they were worn down! I went with BF Goodrich Advantage T/A just because they were on sale. So far so good.
I have been running a set of Firestone Winterforce 2 UV 235/65R17 on my 4Motion Tiguan for the past two winters. They have been a great winter tire for me. Really great in the snow and I have had no issues on dry pavement while interstate cruising at 80mph.
I also live in Vegas, just had Firestone Firehawk Indy 500’s put on a month ago and have 0 complaints
Firestone Indy 500 Firehawk
Very reasonable price for the quality, and they last a while. I had Toyo Proxes T1 Sports before and they were great, but very expensive, and they did not last at all. I prefer the Firestones for daily driving.
The Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 are an Ultra High Performance Summer tires and have been a great for me. They were super popular when I last bought tires at least. Maybe there is some new hot affordable performance tire? Definitely would recommend checking them out. They handle a stage 2 tuned mk7 gti pretty well for what it’s worth.

These tires should be perfect. They provide a VERY surprising amount of grip on dry and wet roads for all season tires. I even run these tires throughout the east coast winter and they handle very well in snow and storms for all season tires.
Only cons I noticed with these tires is that they are bit more noisy and I noticed the slightest drop in mpg after putting these tires on. Tread life is bit lower than average since they are ultra high performance all season tires. I've put about 15,000 miles on them, I can probably get about another 15,000 out of them.
KO2s gripped well but wore fast like others have said.
We just replaced set of Firestones, less than 8000 miles by previous owner, that got hard and tried to disintegrate when we weren’t paying attention; chunks were coming off! Never seen a tire do that before unless it was old.
